Get to know Tanzania

Tanzania is far more than a safari destination. It is snow on the equator, Swahili trading towns, coral reefs, highland orchid meadows and more than 120 living cultures — often within a single trip.

Our local experts live here. They know which parks are quiet in which month, which lodges are worth the drive, and where to find the Tanzania that never makes the guidebooks.

Your questions answered

When is the best time to visit Tanzania?

June to October is dry, cooler and best for wildlife viewing across the northern and southern parks. The green season from November to March brings calving in the Serengeti, fewer vehicles and lower rates, while the Southern Highlands are at their most spectacular from November to April.

How many destinations should I combine in one trip?

Two or three per week of travel is comfortable. A classic pairing is a northern safari with Zanzibar, while travellers with more time add the Southern Highlands or the coastal hidden gems for a much quieter side of the country.

Are the hidden gems harder to reach?

Some involve longer drives or a light aircraft hop, which is exactly why they stay quiet. We plan the logistics around your comfort level and can mix easy-access parks with one or two remote highlights.

Do you arrange accommodation as well as the itinerary?

Yes. Every trip includes hand-picked lodges, camps and beach hotels chosen for location and service, and we adjust the standard to suit your budget.

Can every itinerary be customised?

Every trip we publish is a starting point. Tell us your dates, interests and pace and we will reshape the route around them.
